Getting There
Flying: The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is only ~10 minutes away with plenty of shuttle services that can get you to the Venice Beach area. Other local airports are Burbank (BUR) and Ontario (ONT).
Parking: There is some street parking near Beach Moto, but for long term parking we would recommend local parking lots, which will run about $15/day.
Hotels
There are a ton of hotels in Hollywood, just take your pick! Anything from the very expensive and nice to down right cheap:
Roosevelt Hotel (website) - expensive
Renaissance Hotel & Spa (website) - luxury
The Standard (website) - trendy
Best Western (website) - practical
Restaurants
Some of our local favorites:
Saddle Ranch (map, website) - on the Sunset strip, try the mechanical bull!
House of Blues (map, website) - Legendary performers and great food.
Miceli's Italian Restaurant (map, website) - It is "famous" for a reason.
Picanha Brazillian Grill and Bar (map, website) - Churrascaria (Brazillian BBQ, that is).
The Pantry (map, website) - an LA landmark.
Pinks (map, website) - Trust us, you will want to stand in line for this hot dog!
Trader Vic's (map, website) - Home of the original Mai Tai.
Our Favorite Local Rides
Feel free to ask us for recommendations when we deliver your rental, but here are some recommendations you can check out beforehand:
Angeles Crest Highway to Newcombs Ranch (info): A famous bit of motorcycle paradise... 38 miles of excellent winding mountain road, perfect for motorcycles, with the destination of Newcombs Ranch Restaurant two-thirds the way up.
The Rock Store (info): The Rock Store is a famous motorcycle stop in Southern California and has been featured in many commercials, films, music videos, television productions and magazine photos. It is a great ride though the canyons of Santa Monica mountains toward the coast.
Neptunes Net (info): A good destination after carving or cruising the Santa Monica mountain canyons.
Hook Up With Local Los Angeles Riders
Looking for riders to go out with in the Los Angeles area during your visit? Try some of these spots every Saturday and Sunday morning:
Little Tujunga Road (info): "If God had a motorcycle, this is where he'd be."
Mulholland Drive (info): Awesome, curvey road that splits the Hollywood / San Fernando Valley, right along the top of a great ridge line with views of either side. Just watch out for the drifters there late at night (the Evo and WRX kind, that is).
Italian Bike Night (info): Great crowd of Ducatisti in Santa Monica, meets up every Wednesday at 6:30pm at Rick's Tavern in Santa Monica (map).
